This stands out to be 80.73 per cent of the total candidates to pass the Bihar Board exam. However, no female student could make it to the top 10 and boys outshined girls this year. Controversy regarding the toppers

Interestingly, the top 18 scorers of the Bihar Board Class 10 exam are from the same school - Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui. Soon after the results were declared, questions started raising regarding the toppers. As per the report by the Indian Express, principal Rajiv Ranjan has said that he 'ready for the investigation'. Speaking to IE, Ranjan said, 'As the school is a government entity, they have no vested interests behind the results. The school is open for any kind of investigation.'

Pass Percentage

• A total number of 16.6 lakh students appeared for the exam • 13.2 lakh students (13,20,036) students cleared the Bihar board class 10 examination • The pass percentage reached a record 80.73 per cent • 6,36,046 girls passed the examination • 6,83,990 boys succesfully cleared the exam • This year, no female student could make it to the top 10 rank holder list • Boys performed better and outshined girls this year

The students who are not satisfied with the Class 10 marks, can apply for the scrutiny process. The application process for the scrutiny will begin from April 9. The last date to apply for BSEB Class 10 Matric Result 2019 scrutiny process is April 18.

Bihar board 10th result 2019: Compartmental exams

There are around 20 per cent of students who have flunked in one or two subjects. Therefore the candidates who could not perform well can appear for the compartmental exams. The application process for the compartmental exams will start on April 11 and will be closed on April 18, 2019.
