'Bring Back Those 6000 Citizens Immediately': Owaisi After Centre Issues Advisory As Iran-Israel Crisis Deepens

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi demanded that the 6000 Indian citizens working in Israel should be brought back "immediately".

Amidst the ongoing situation in Israel and Iran, following the attack by Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah at at Israeli artillery sites on Friday, the Ministry of External Affairs in India issued a travel advisory to avoid any sort of incident from occuring. 

Commenting on the the travel advisory issued for Iran and Israel by the Centre, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi demanded that the 6000 Indian citizens working in Israel should be brought back "immediately".

He stated: "In the context of Israel, I would like to tell you that the government of India and Israel government together signed an agreement...I wish to ask when the Narendra Modi government is in power, by doing a contract with the Israel govt, 6000 workers from India have already gone to Israel and then they issue an advisory...PM Modi should bring back those 6000 Indian citizens to India immediately."

As MEA issues travel advisory for Iran and Israel, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi says, 

In view of the prevailing situation in the region, the Ministry of External Affairs issued a travel advisory urging all Indians to avoid travelling to Iran or Israel till further notice.

The advisory stated that "all those who are currently residing in Iran or Israel are requested to get in touch with Indian Embassies there and register themselves."

MEA also requested the people residing in Iran or Israel to exercise "utmost precautions about their safety and restrict their movements to the minimum."

Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah on Friday launched “dozens of Katyusha rockets” at artillery sites in a retaliation to the latter's strikes in southern Lebanon.

Earlier Iran had blamed Israel for an attack on its diplomatic building in Damascus on April 1 which led to the killing of two of its prominent commanders among others. It had also vowed revenge to avenge the attack on its consulate.
