PM Modi to Unveil Rs 24,000-Crore Tribal Empowerment Scheme in Jharkhand
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch a Rs 24,000-crore scheme focused on the comprehensive development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) on November 15, marking 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas' in Jharkhand. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister's Office on Monday. Alongside this initiative, Modi will kick off the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,' release the 15th instalment of PM-KISAN, and inaugurate or lay the foundation stone for various development projects in the state.
On November 15, around 9:30 AM, the Prime Minister will visit the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park cum Freedom Fighter Museum in Ranchi. Following this, he will reach Ulihatu Village, the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, where he will pay floral tributes at the statue of the freedom fighter. This visit makes Modi the first Prime Minister to visit Ulihatu Village, as stated in the released statement.
At approximately 11:30 AM, Prime Minister Modi will partake in a program commemorating the third Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, 2023, in Khunti. During this event, he will launch the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' and the Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups Mission. Additionally, he will release the 15th instalment of PM-KISAN and inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Jharkhand, according to the statement.
Jharkhand CM to Introduce Schemes on Statehood Day
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will inaugurate and lay the foundation of projects worth Rs 7,042 crore today, news agency PTI reported. As per an official press release, 229 projects worth Rs 1,744 crore will be inaugurated, and the foundation of 667 projects worth Rs 5,328 crore will be laid. The occasion will also witness the distribution of 18,000 appointment letters and the allocation of Rs 261 crore among 5,55,652 adolescent girls under the Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. Furthermore, Rs 2 crore in prize money will be distributed among 70 players who have excelled at the international and national levels.
Puducherry Schools and Colleges to Remain Closed Due to Rains
In light of persistent rains in Puducherry and Karaikal regions, the territorial government announced the closure of all schools and colleges on November 15, PTI reported. Home Minister A Namassivayam confirmed the decision, citing the ongoing inclement weather. Lt Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan assured that precautionary measures had been implemented, urging people not to venture out unnecessarily. She emphasized the readiness of the government machinery to respond to any exigency.
