WATCH: Union Minister Giriraj Singh, Congress MPs Share Candid Moments On Parliament Stairs
BJP's Giriraj Singh and Congress leaders KC Venugopal and K Suresh were seen sharing candid moments at the stairs of the Parliament.
The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha was held today, during which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and members of his Council of Ministers, took the oath as members of the Lower House.
During the oath-taking of the PM, the opposition members rose to their feet with copies of the Constitution in hand. As PM Modi took oath in Hindi, the members of the treasury benches raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram.
The opposition had marched down to reach the Parliament with the copies of the Constitution of India in their hands, and were also unhappy about BJP leader B Mahtab being chosen as the pro-tem Speaker over Congress's K Suresh.
Amidst all this, on a lighter note, the BJP and Congress leaders were seen sharing candid moments at the stairs of the Parliament during a short break.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh and Congress MPs KC Venugopal and K Suresh were seen meeting each other depsite the ongoing controversies and disagreements between the two parties.
In the visuals of their candid meet, the BJP leader can be seen coming from behind as the two Congress MPs are talking to each other on the stairs. Therafter, Singh can be seen hugging Venugopal and shaking hands with Suresh as well. The three of them can then be seen sharing a laugh amongst themselves.

Besides PM Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh also took oath as members of the Lok Sabha.
Before them, BJP leaders Radha Mohan Singh and Faggan Singh Kulaste, who assisted the pro-tem speaker in administering the oath to the newly elected MPs, were also sworn in as members of the new House after PM Modi.
Congress leaders Suresh, Baalu and Bandyopadhyay, were also chosen to be a part of this panel. However, since Congress had taken objection to Mahtab's appointment, the three leaders did not join the panel of chairpersons as a mark of protest.
After the session was concluded for the day, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other BJP MPs from Madhya Pradesh were seen posing for group photo at the Parliament Complex.
