BJP MLA Who Called Maneka Gandhi 'Ghatiya' Over Her Remarks To Vet, Says 'What I Said About Her Is Apt'
Responding to the viral clip, BJP MLA in Madhya Pradesh Ajay Vishnoi had used the hindi word "ghatiya" for Maneka Gandhi.
New Delhi: BJP MLA in Madhya Pradesh Ajay Vishnoi on Sunday reiterated his stance against party MP and animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi over her alleged objectionable remarks to a veterinary doctor.
Purported audio clips of her phone call veterinarian have been circulated widely on social media wherein Maneka Gandhi lashes out at a veterinary doctor accusing him of doing a shoddy surgical procedure on a dog. She allegedly even threatened to have him beaten up if he didn't do as she said.

Responding to the viral clip, BJP MLA in Madhya Pradesh Ajay Vishnoi wrote on Saturday: "The words Maneka Gandhi used against veterinarian recently won't prove Veterinary College Jabalpur to be contemptible. But they do prove that Maneka Gandhi is an absolutely contemptible woman. I am ashamed that she is my party's MP (not leader).
In his tweet, the Jabalpur college alumnus had used the hindi word "ghatiya" for Maneka Gandhi.
Asked whether action would be taken against Vishnoi for his remarks against the former union minister, BJP's Madhya Pradesh in-charge Muralidhar Rao had said that necessary discussion will take place in the party on the issue.
MLA Ajay Vishnoi has once again commented against Maneka Gandhi as: "She is an MP of our party but I don't consider her a leader. Her shameful behaviour during the phone call to a veterinarian doesn't suit any man or woman". "What I said about her is apt," he added as quoted by ANI.
Previously, veterinarians across the country had observed a `black day' on Wednesday to protest against Gandhi over the issue. Veterinary doctors and students from the Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur held a protest against Gandhi.
The Indian Veterinary Association also condemned the language allegedly used by Maneka Gandhi.
"I got a call from Member of Parliament Maneka Gandhi on June 21 regarding the surgery of the dog. I was shocked when she asked me to pay a compensation of Rs 70,000 to the owner of the dog or else she would get my license cancelled," the doctor who was allegedly abused by Gandhi told PTI.
"Besides, she insulted my profession, my father and my eligibility and used abusive language," he had claimed.
