'Unable To Launch Rahul Gandhi, Kharge Is Frustrated': Giriraj Singh's Dig At Congress

Giriraj Singh slammed Kharge and said that the Congress Chief is frustrated as he wants to launch senior party leader Rahul Gandhi but is not able to.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday took a pot shot at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and said that the Congress Chief is frustrated as he wants to launch senior party leader Rahul Gandhi but is not able to. Singh said that Kharge is having a problem because Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a PM who works for the people of the country. This comes after Kharge on Tuesday called PM Modi Hitler'.

Speaking during Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Ambikapur, the Congress President said that the Bharatiya Janata Party started using the 'Modi ki guarantee' term, copying the Congress which stormed to power in Karnataka and other states by giving guarantees, as reported by news agency PTI. He also said that the Prime Minister works for himself and he is like a dictator and Hitler.

"We call our promises as Congress' guarantee, but they call them as Modi's guarantee. He (Modi) always talks about himself. If a person has so much ego, then think whether he believes in democracy or not? He only works for himself and the person who works for himself is like a dictator and Hitler, not the one who believes in democracy," he said, as quoted by PTI.

The BJP leader responded to Kharge's 'Hitler' remark on PM Modi and said that PM Modi is the most popular leader in the eyes of the people. "He may think whatsoever but in people's eye, he (PM Modi) is the most popular leader... He (Mallikarjun Kharge) is frustrated now, he wanted to launch Rahul Gandhi but since the launching pad has some issues he couldn't be launched," the Union Minister said.

The Union Minister also took a swipe at the Congress and asked why did Congress not built toilets, why did Congress did not provide water, why did Congress did not give cylinders and built houses.

Sonia Gandhi Is Tired: Giriraj Singh

Giriraj Singh also reacted on senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi's Rajya Sabha nomination and said, “Sonia Gandhi is the biggest leader of Congress. Now, people will decide whether Congress is tired or Sonia Gandhi. We wish that she comes to Rajya Sabha”.

The former Congress President filed her nomination for the Rajya Sabha election from Rajasthan on Wednesday. The party revealed its candidates  and nominated Abhishek Manu Singhvi from Himachal Pradesh.
