West Bengal Election BJP Candidates List 2021: Suvendu Adhikari will contest the Assembly polls from Nandigram constituency from where CM Mamata Banerjee announced her candidature on Friday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its first list of candidates on as many as 57 seats of West Bengal ahead of Assembly elections. BJP General Secretary Arun Singh in a press meet announced that BJP's Central Election Committee has approved the names of candidates on 57 seats for West Bengal Assembly elections.
While making the announcement, Singh revealed that BJP's new bet in West Bengal Suvendu Adhikari will contest the Assembly polls from Nandigram constituency from where CM Mamata Banerjee announced her candidature on Friday.

Banerjee has announced that she will contest from Nandigram only and she will not fight from Bhowanipore. This makes the Nandigram seat the most important battleground as Adhikari was not just the face of the Trinamool in Nandigram, he was also the face of the party’s land protest on the ground.

Meanwhile, out of 57 seats announced, the Baghmundi seat has been given to AJSU for West Bengal Assembly elections
The state assembly election will be held for all 294 seats wherein the voting will take place in 1,01,916 polling stations all over West Bengal. Elections to the 294-member Assembly will be held in eight phases, from March 27 to April 29. The counting of votes will take place on May 2. The magic figure to be the ruling party in the West Bengal Assembly is 148.
