Bihar: Two Children Die Due To Diarrhoea In Aurangabad, Several Others Hospitalised
Diarrhoea Attack: Sadar Hospital health manager Hemant Rajan has confirmed the death of two children. A team of doctors took stock of Birdie village in Madanpur block and distributed medicines.
Aurangabad: On Saturday, two children died while several others were hospitalised due to Diarrhoea in Aurangabad, Bihar. Among the deceased are Reshma Kumari, daughter of Rambarat Bhuiyan, a resident of Shaheed Bigha in Madanpur block and Roshan Kumar, son of Natthu Bigha.
Reshma's parents are also suffering from Diarrhoea and are being treated at Chandi in Amas. On Saturday, several people suffering from Diarrhoea were rushed to Sadar hospital for treatment.
Social activist Ranjit Yadav, a resident of Bardi village in Madanpur block, said, people have been suffering from Diarrhoea in Kolhua village for the past ten days. This was reported to the Community Health Centre in Madanpur, after which a team of doctors took stock of the entire village and distributed medicines. The team directed the villagers to drink hot water and maintain cleanliness.
Independent candidate Pramod Singh, who contested last year, rushed to Sadar hospital to know about people suffering from Diarrhoea. He informed the DM when he did not see any arrangements for treatment.
He accused the hospital management of negligence. He said that the lack of proper arrangements for treatment of Diarrhoea in the model hospital is exposing Bihar's health system.
Four people undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital
Pramod Singh further said that, if the health department does not set up camps at Beri, Shaheed Bigha, Kolhua and Maulvi Bigha in Madanpur, a dharna will be staged against them. Meanwhile, Sadar hospital health manager Hemant Rajan has confirmed the death of two children in this case. He said the bodies of both the children have been handed over to the family members. Four people suffering from Diarrhoea are undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital.
