'He Fears Losing': BJP Leader Hits Back After Tejashwi Hints At Bihar Poll Boycott

Union Minister Lalan Singh criticised RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's threat to boycott Bihar polls due to alleged voter list manipulation through Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

Union Minister and senior BJP leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, has lashed out at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for hinting at a potential boycott of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections over revision in the voters’ list. Singh alleged that the RJD is now attempting to withdraw from the electoral contest after being exposed.

“Now he feels that he will lose the election. As long as there are no fake voters, how will they win the election? When the fraud was caught, they are saying they won't contest the election," said Lalan Singh on Thursday, responding to Tejashwi’s statement.

Tejashwi Yadav's Explosive Statement On Boycotting Bihar Election

Yadav, while addressing reporters in Patna earlier in the day, expressed serious concerns over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls being carried out in Bihar. He claimed that lakhs of voter names have been deliberately removed, and hinted that the Opposition might consider boycotting the polls in protest.

He said the matter would be discussed with all parties of the Mahagathbandhan. He questioned the very essence of an election where people are unable to vote in a democracy. He added that the option of boycotting the election could be considered, as all possibilities remain open.

Meanwhile, during the ongoing Summary Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, according to data released by the Election Commission, officials conducting door-to-door verification have found that more than 52 lakh registered voters are missing from their listed addresses, while another 18 lakh have been reported deceased. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has challenged the revision in the Supreme Court, raising concerns about its timing and fairness.
