Sharing PM Modi's 2017 tweet, RJD on his official Twitter handle writes, “Yes sir, this is exactly what Bihar has done. BJP ministers were spreading dirt at the Centre and in the state. Sanghi goons were walking around naked, waving sticks and swords. Bihar, the mother of democracy, takes special decisions for the bright future of the country. This is the demand of the country today."

On July 26, 2017, hours after Nitish Kumar severed connections with the Mahagathbandhan and joined the BJP, PM Modi tweeted that it was critical to rise above political divisions and fight corruption together for the betterment of the nation and Bihar.
Kumar departed the grand alliance over charges of corruption against RJD leader and then-deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav, who is slated to take up the same position in the 'Mahagathbandhan 2.0.'
Kumar's JD(U) resignation occurred roughly two years after the 71-year-old politician became chief minister for the seventh time after the coalition won the state assembly elections in October-November 2015.
After quitting as chief minister, Kumar reportedly talked with both Sonia Gandhi, the head of the Congress, and Rahul Gandhi, news agency PTI reported.
In the 243-member Bihar Assembly, the Congress is represented by 19 MLAs, the JD(U) by 45, the RJD by 79, the CPI(ML) by 12, and the CPI and CPI(M) by two each.
Kumar will be sworn in for another term at the Raj Bhavan in Patna at 2 p.m. today.
