Bihar: Mob thrashes man accused of murder, throws him from balcony in front of police

The man, an alleged murderer, was admitted to hospital and his condition is said to be critical.

Nalanda: Mob on Friday brutally thrashed a man and then threw him off a balcony in Bihar’s Nalanda. In the case, what is shocking is that the incident happened in front of the police authorities. The man, an alleged murder accused, was later admitted to hospital and his condition is said to be critical. The incident happened when Rajendra Sav's son Divakar Kumar was shot when his bike was a few meters away from his house. He died on the spot.  Soon a crowd of people gathered around the house and a man was nabbed by the mob for the murder. The man was brutally thrashed and then the mob also started to throw stone on the police. Locals then vandalised the area where cars were burnt down. To make the police calm, police had to resort to lathi-charge. So far the police is able to arrest nine people in connection to this incident.
