Bihar Elections 2020: Promise Of Free Covid Vaccine In BJP Poll Manifesto; Nirmala Sitharaman Assures 19 Lakh Jobs Countering RJD's 10 Lakh

Bihar Elections 2020: Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday released the BJP's manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar. With the slogan of 'Bhajpa Hai Toh Bharosa Hai' (Where there is BJP, there is Trust) Sitharaman iterated BJP's promise to make Bihar more developed. Senior BJP leaders Bhupender Yadav, Nityanand Rai, Ashwini Choubey, and Pramod Kumar were present on the occasion. Nirmala Sitharaman released the '5 Phases, 1 goal, 11 promises'. The key highlights of  the BJP manifesto :
  •  The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) promises free Covid-19 vaccination for everyone in Bihar.
  • The BJP manifesto said that under the New Education policy the government will roll out courses in engineering and medical in the Hindi language.
  • BJP manifesto also mentioned that the NDA government appointed 3.5 lakh teachers in their term and now BJP promises to appoint 3 lakh teachers in the coming year in Schools, high schools, and colleges.
  • BJP committed in its manifesto to turn Bihar into an IT hub which will eventually lead to creating 5 lakh more opportunities in the coming 5 years.
  • Empowering women is one of the key points in the BJP manifesto according to Nirmala Sitharaman. NJP manifesto said that it vows to make 1 crore Bihar women independent or Atmanirbhar with the help of the Microfinance department contributing 50 thousand crores.
  • BJP committed to starting the second AIIMS of Bihar by 2024 which will help Bihar residents the best medical facility in the country.
  • BJP promised to provide 'Pucca houses' to 30 lakh residents of rural Bihar by 2022 under the PM housing scheme.
  •  Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia for the kin if a migrant labourer dies suddenly in another state
  • Job and Rs 25 lakh for the family of a soldier who lays down life for the nation
BJP's promise to provide 19 lakh jobs to the Bihar residents counters RJD's manifesto which promised 10 lakh jobs which have been consistently criticized by the Nitish government. The BJP is contesting the Bihar polls as part of the National Democratic Alliance, along with the Janata Dal (United) and other parties. Bihar goes to polls on October 28, November 03, and 07.
