They Sent Nitish On Country Tour With Dreams Of PM's Seat As Bihar Descends Into Chaos: BJP's Vijay Sinha

Vijay Kumar Sinha mocked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's ambition to become the next Prime Minister of India on Friday, claiming that the I.N.D.I.A bloc had sent him on a tour while the state suffers.

Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator and Leader of Opposition Vijay Kumar Sinha on Friday ridiculed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's dream of becoming next Prime Minister of India and stated that I.N.D.I.A bloc has sent him on a tour, while the state suffers, news agency ANI reported. Speaking with media, Sinha stated: "By showing him (Nitish Kumar) the dream of becoming a Prime Minister, he has been sent on a tour. The game of looting people's money is going on in the state by keeping some departments with him."

Criticising CM Nitish Kumar for ignoring the state, Sinha further said: "What remains of the state? There is no electricity, no cleanliness, and no medicine. People are dying as a result of a dengue outbreak. There is a lack of employment throughout the state, and investors are moving out. Bihar's infrastructure is victim to utter neglect."

Centre Doesn't Differentiate With Any State Govt: BJP's Sushil Kumar Modi

Slamming the state government, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi said: "...Bihar got Rs 42,000 crore as a share of central tax...The center-sponsored schemes are based on a formula...You will get the new amount for it when you will spend... The Bihar government was earning interest on the money that was kept in the account...The Center has made a rule for all the states that unless the state government returns the interest amount, you will not get the new amount... The Bihar government took five months to return the interest money...The central government does not differentiate with any state government... You want that without spending money, you should get the interest amount... This will not be possible now... Such times have gone..."

Earlier on Thursday, Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Samrat Chaudhary denied suggestions that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar might rejoin the BJP-led alliance, National Democratic Alliance, claiming that the BJP has labelled him as a 'Paltu Kumar' (one who switches sides).

Speaking with reporters, Chaudhary stated: "Who's calling Janata Dal (United)? It's the party of Nitish Kumar so it's his call. We have declared him 'Paltu Kumar'. Lalu Yadav used to call him Paltu Kumar...It's BJP's favour towards Nitish Kumar...He was not a CM earlier, he became one with the favour of the BJP...He has not done any favours for BJP."
