Bihar: 6 Dead After Boiler Explodes In Muzaffarpur's Noodle Factory, CM Announces 4 Lakh Ex Gratia
A boiler explosion in a noodle factory in Muzaffarpur, Bihar left five dead, and around six injured. District Magistrate Pranav Kumar told news agency ANI that further investigation is underway.
New Delhi: A boiler explosion in a noodle-making factory in Muzaffarpur, Bihar on Sunday morning left six dead, and many more injured. District Magistrate Pranav Kumar told news agency ANI that further investigation is going on. The identity of the deceased has not been identified yet.
"Five people have died & six injured in boiler blast in a noodle factory in Muzaffarpur. Further investigation is underway," he said. Meanwhile, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has also announced an ex gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh each for the families of the deceased.

Earlier, Muzaffarpur SSP Jayant Kant said that five to six injured people were rushed to hospital and there are reports of some casualties. The injured were taken to Shri Krishna Medical College and hospital, according to APB news source.
“Rescue operation is underway. Around 5-6 injured persons have been rushed to the hospital, reports of some casualties,” SSP Kant told ANI.

The explosion was reportedly so severe that the adjoining factories also sustained damage and it was heard till far off. The police and the fire department are conducting a rescue operation currently.
