Bengaluru Residents Beware! Two Leopards Caught On Video Roaming In Residential Area
A CCTV footage from Bengaluru that has went viral on social media captured the two leopards roaming near a residential property, even as the house gates remained shut.

Two leopards have reportedly been sighted in the Bengaluru Urban Range, especially in North Bengaluru with forest officials reportedly confirming their presence in the Shivakote Gram Panchayat area, as reported by News18. The sightings have raised concerns among local residents prompting authorities to issue precautionary measures to prevent human-wildlife conflict.

Meanwhile, Karnataka officials on Wednesday captured a leopard that had been roaming in the outskirts of Bengaluru for the past two weeks. The forest officials undertook the operation near Anekal.
The captured leopard earlier attacked two cows.
Meanwhile, as Bengaluru continues to expand, leopard sightings are becoming more common, especially on the city’s periphery, where urban growth is infringing on their natural territories. In addition to North Bengaluru, areas near Bannerghatta National Park have also seen a rise in such encounters.
In addition to the recent leopard sightings in Bengaluru, a leopard was spotted on the Infosys campus in Mysuru on December 31. This prompted the forest department to initiate an operation to capture the animal. In response, Infosys implemented a work-from-home arrangement for its employees and instructed its security team to restrict access to the campus for the day. A notice on the premises said, "Please do not enter the campus today (December 31)".
