Be Aware Of New Parties Coming To Goa From ‘Outside’: Priyanka Gandhi Targets AAP

“Many parties will come from outside. These days new parties are coming,” she added in the coastal state where the assembly elections are due in early 2022.

Panaji: Taking a jibe at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Friday asked the people of Goa to be aware of new parties coming from “outside” in the state.

Asking the people to check before voting what these respective parties have done in states where they are in power, Gandhi said: “When you go to vote this time, first of all think about yourself, your state and your family. Vote for the party that will solve your issues.”

“Many parties will come from outside. These days new parties are coming,” she added in the coastal state where the assembly elections are due in early 2022.

The Congress leader also took potshots at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP over what she alleged was responsible for the air pollution in the national capital.

“Have they done development? I am from Delhi, the AAP is from Delhi. There is so much pollution in Delhi that you can't even breathe,” she said, PTI reported.

Asserting it is only the Congress party that will work for the people of Goa, Gandhi said the grand old party will reserve 30 percent of the jobs only for women when voted to power in the state.

Gandhi, who visited Morpirla village in the Quepem assembly segment where she interacted with tribal women, said a balance should be maintained between development and environmental protection.

“You will have to save your environment, water, sea, farming. You will have to think which is the party that will work for you,” she said during her day-long tour to Goa.

The Congress leader also assured to solve issues like water scarcity and unemployment in the coastal state.
