New Delhi: There are only three days left for the last month of this year to begin. If you have any bank-related work in the month of December, you must check the list of holidays to know how long the bank will remain closed. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases a list of bank holidays every month which will help you plan your bank-related work accordingly. 

Banks to remain closed for 16 days

It may be noted that banks will remain closed for 16 days in the month of December. This includes state-wise holidays and weekends. 

Bank Holidays in December 2021

• December 3 – Fest of St. Francis Xavier (Kanakadasa Jayanthi/Feast of St. Francis Xavier) (Bank to remain closed in Panaji)
• December 5 – Sunday (weekly holiday)
• December 11 – Saturday (second Saturday of the month)
• December 12 – Sunday (weekly holiday)
• December 18 – Death Anniversary of U SoSo Tham (Bank to remain closed in Shillong)
• December 19 – Sunday (weekly holiday)
• December 24 – Christmas Festival (Bank closed in Aizawl)
• December 25 – Christmas (bank closed everywhere except Bengaluru and Bhubaneswar) Saturday, (4th Saturday of the month)
• December 26 – Sunday (weekly holiday)
• December 27 – Christmas Celebration (Bank closed in Aizawl)
• December 30 – U Kiang Nangbah (Bank Closed in Shillong)
• December 31 – New Year Eve (Bank closure in Aizawl)
