ATS Arrests 2 Al-Qaeda Terrorists From Kakori In Lucknow, Foils Plan Of Serial Blasts
ATS sealed Kakori town in Lucknow and arrested two terrorists from Al-Qaeda on Sunday afternoon.
Lucknow: ATS sealed the Kakori area of Lucknow on inputs of terrorists hiding inside a house. The bomb squad also reached the spot as ATS received information about a bomb planted in the area.
ATS sealed the area and nobody was allowed to enter the lane. Nearby houses were also been evacuated as safety measures and further investigation is going on.
ATS also seized some amount of explosives from the terrorists and a pressure cooker bomb according to the inputs.
ATS IG G K Goswami spoke to ABP News and revealed that they have arrested two terrorists of Al Qaeda . He also said that the handlers of these terrorists are from Pakistan. The names of the terrorists are being said as Minaz and Masruddin. The two terrorists had planned a serial blast in Lucknow using human bombs.
After interrogation with the two terrorists, they revealed that their handler was Moosa who has already been eliminated by the Kashmir Police.
UP Police had sealed the area in search of explosives and checked the three houses which were under suspicion.
It is pertinent to note that Kakori is a densely populated area in Lucknow and BJP Leader Kaushal Kishore lives nearby. Also, such an event has instilled fear among the locals.
According to the latest inputs, UP ADG Law & Order will hold a press conference at 5 pm today and will reveal further details about the operation.
