'...Did Not Talk About Unemployment': Rahul Gandhi Speaks On Row Over Mimicry Video Recording
Rahul Gandhi said the media did not ask Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the parliament security breach but talked about him because he recorded a video of MPs sitting outside parliament.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has said that the media is covering and talking about him recording video of MPs sitting outside the parliament but not about unemployment which, he added, is the reason behind the Parliament security breach on December 13. Speaking at I.N.D.I.A bloc leaders' protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, he said the media did not pose questions to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the issue of security lapse.
"Two-three youths entered the Parliament with smoke cannister and we saw how BJP MPs got scared and ran away. Now, it is definitely a question of a security breach but the reason behind the protest (of youth intruding into the Lok Sabha) is unemployment," Gandhi said.
"Media did not talk about the unemployment in the country. Instead, the media started talking about Rahul Gandhi recording videos of MPs sitting outside the Parliament. The media did not question Amit Shah on the security breach in the House," the Congress MP added.

He was referring to the issue where the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) attacked him for recording the mimic act of TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee impersonating Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar that ultimately led to massive chaos in both Houses towards the end of the winter session.
Leaders of I.N.D.I.A coalition parties on Friday came together on one stage to protest against the suspension of 146 MPs in Delhi that began after they sought Amit Shah's response on the floor over the parliament security breach.
Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge slammed the BJP-led government at the Centre and said everyone in the country has the right to speak. "When we give notice (in Parliament) we are not even given a chance to read the notice. Should I say that the BJP govt is not letting a Dalit speak? You can't take away our right to speak. This freedom was given to us by Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi. You suspend Opposition MPs and pass laws unopposed..We have to fight together."
