Assembly Elections 2019: PM Modi To Hold 2 Rallies, Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi To Address 3 In Maharashtra

Home Minister and BJP president Amit Shah will also hold rallies at four locations in the state on Sunday.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to kick off his four-day campaign in nine districts of Maharashtra for the upcoming Assembly elections 2019, starting today. At the same time, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will address election rallies in the poll-bound state today. Home Minister and BJP president Amit Shah will also hold rallies at four locations in the state on Sunday. Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said that he will address two rallies in Jalgaon and Sakoli and asserted that the NDA is going to the people based on the stellar work of his Government led by CM Devendra Fadnavis. "Will be campaigning in Maharashtra tomorrow. Looking forward to addressing rallies in Jalgaon and Sakoli. The NDA is going to the people based on the stellar work of our Government led by the youthful and visionary CM @Dev_Fadnavis Ji. We seek five more years to serve the state," Modi tweeted. PM Modi will begin his campaign from 12 pm this afternoon from Jalgaon, North Maharashtra. He will address his second public meeting at Sakoli in Bhandara district of Vidarbha at 4pm. During the election campaign, the Prime Minister will address a total of nine rallies in the state. In the coming days, PM Modi will also hold rallies in Haryana. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi will address two rallies in Mumbai - Dharavi and Chandivali. Besides this, the former Congress President will also address a rally in Ausa (Latur). As per the report, the Congress leader will campaign in favour of Basavaraj Madhavrao Patil in Ausa, Latur district; Naseem Khan in Chandivali in Mumbai suburban and in favour of Varsha Gaikwad in Dharavi, Mumbai. The BJP will issue its party's manifesto on the Haryana assembly elections. BJP working president JP Nadda will release the party's manifesto at 10.30 am in Chandigarh. During this time, the Executive Chairman of the BJP, JP Nadda, the CM of the state, Manohar Lal Khattar, the state president Subhash Barala, all three in-charge, the manifesto committee chairman OP Dhankad and the organization minister will be present. Besides, senior BJP leader and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will hold several rallies from today for party candidates in the electoral state of Haryana and Maharashtra. He will address three rallies in Haryana today. His first rally will be in Karnal, second rally in Rai and third at Pataudi Gurugram. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had bagged 23 seats in Maharashtra, while the Sena emerged victorious in 18 constituencies. Whereas in Haryana, the BJP has set a target of bagging over 75 seats in the 90-member Assembly. Maharashtra and Haryana are going to polls on October 21 and the results will be declared on October 24.
