Assam: PM Modi To Inaugurate 7 Cancer Hospital In Dibrugarh On April 28, CM Reviews Preparations
PM Modi will also participate in a BJP's party meeting before inaugurating seven cancer hospitals in Assam's Dibrugarh.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Assam’s Dibrugarh on April 28 where he will inaugurate seven new cancer hospitals and will also lay the foundation stone for seven new cancer hospitals in the state, reported news agency ANI.
Ahead of PM Modi’s visit, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reached Dibrugarh on Sunday and took stock of preparations for the programme.
Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister shared a photo of the meeting and wrote, “"We are all set to welcome our PM Narendra Modi ji to Assam on April 28. Held a meeting at Manohari Tea Retreat, Dibrugarh, to discuss the plans for the inauguration of Dibrugarh Cancer Centre by the Hon'ble Prime Minister."

While reviewing preparations, he also instructed BJP leaders and officials to pay special attention to drainage in view of the possibility of rain along with other arrangements, reported the news agency.

The Chief Minister has informed that PM Narendra Modi will visit Assam's Diphu on April 28, where he will first participate in a party meeting.
"PM Narendra Modi will visit Assam on April 28. His first programme will be in Diphu and after that, he will inaugurate seven new cancer hospitals in Dibrugarh. This is a huge investment of Rs 4,000 crore with the joint collaboration of the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts," he said, quoted by ANI.
"Along with this, the foundation stone of seven new cancer hospitals will be laid," he added.
