Sisodia Says Pressue To Frame Him Led To CBI Officer's Suicide, Agency Calls Claims 'Misleading'
Addressing a press conference, Sisodia said that the CBI officer who recently committed suicide was pressed to accuse him in a bogus case involving the Delhi liquor policy.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on unleashed a stinging assault on the Central government in response to the suicide of a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) worker last week, and said: "Arrest me if you want, but don't destroy families of your officers," news agency PTI reported. Meanwhile, CBI reacted on Sisodia's statement saying, "CBI strongly refutes mischievous and misleading statement by Manish Sisodia. It is clarified that the gentleman officer Late Jitendra Kumar was in no way connected with the investigation of the case," as reported by news agency ANI.

"...and also amounting to interference in the inquest proceedings into the death of the gentleman officer," added probe agency.

On Thursday, a CBI deputy legal advisor committed suicide at his home in south Delhi. Jitendra Kumar, 48, was identified as the deceased.
According to a senior police officer, the Defence Colony police station received a report at 6.45 a.m. regarding a man discovered hanging, and a crime squad, together with a forensic mobile team, arrived at the scene.
During a press conference, Sisodia asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi three questions about the central agency's operations.
"Want to ask PM why officers being pressured so much that they take such extreme steps?" Sisodia asked PM Modi.
"Is Central government's job has been reduced to running Operation Lotus everywhere?" he further asked.
