Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath Link Congress' Protest In Black Clothes To Message Against Ram Temple
Reacting to Amit Shah linking the protest to Ram Temple, the Congress said that it was a “desperate attempt to divert, polarise and give malicious twist” to their agitation.
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday slammed the Congress for holding nationwide protests on August 5, claiming that the grand-old party chose this date as they oppose the Ram temple in Ayodhya and that they wanted to give a subtle message to further promote their ‘appeasement politics’.
According to a report by news agency PTI, Shah said that everybody saw protests from Congress leaders of late in regular clothes that they wore but they especially chose black clothes for their Friday agitation as PM Narendra Modi peacefully resolved an over 550-year dispute that was associated with the faith of crores of people.

The Congress is conveying its opposition to the construction of the temple and the issues of ED action and price rise are only excuses, Shah said, adding that as the grand old party could not have openly expressed its opposition to the temple, it has tried to give a hidden message.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also hit out at the Congress saying, “Until now, Congress was protesting in normal attire but today they protested wearing black clothes. It's an insult to all the Ram Bhakts. They chose this day as today is Ayodhya Diwas which marks the beginning of the construction of Ram Janambhoomi.”

However, reacting to Amit Shah linking the protest to Ram Temple, the Congress said that it was a “desperate attempt to divert, polarise and give malicious twist” to their agitation.
It is to be noted that wearing black clothes, the Congress leaders hit the streets to protest against price rise and unemployment with a host of them, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, being detained by police for nearly six hours.
