'Doesn't Suit Any Leader To Speak Against Own Country When Abroad': Amit Shah Slams Rahul Gandhi In Gujarat

Amit Shah on Saturday attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that it does not suit any party leader to speak against its own country abroad as the people are watching closely.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a veiled attack at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that it does not suit any party leader to speak against his or her own country abroad as the people are watching closely. Shah said that in the last nine years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled the dreams of the middle class by opening new educational institutions, providing subsidised homes and creating lakhs of jobs. Shah said the financial condition of the middle class has rapidly ascended in the nine years of the Modi government.

The home minister also said from tax rebates of up to Rs 7 lakh to affordable medicines through Janaushadhi and from insurance to cheap travel under UDAAN, Prime Minister Modi has supported the middle class financially all along.

PM @narendramodi Ji unveiled an era of #9YearsOfEnabledMiddleClass by realizing their aspirations. Whether it is opening up new educational institutions for their children to excel, handing them over subsidized homes, or creating lakhs of jobs, Modi Ji fulfilled their dreams, he tweeted.

Shah was speaking at Govardhan Park Ground in Gujarat's Patan to mark the nine years of the Modi government. BJP leader and Home Minister Amit Shah is set to address public meetings in four states on Saturday and Sunday (June 11), news agency PTI reported. The meetings hold significant political importance, especially in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, where speculation is rife about a potential alliance between the BJP and the Telugu Desam Party led by N Chandrababu Naidu, following their recent meeting in the national capital. Amit Shah's speeches in Andhra Pradesh will be closely watched for any indications of the BJP's political plans and alliances for the state.

In addition, BJP President J P Nadda will address a public meeting in Tirupati, while Amit Shah will hold meetings in Patan, Gujarat, Nanded, Maharashtra, and Vellore, Tamil Nadu, as part of the BJP's month-long public outreach campaign to commemorate the anniversary of the government.

On Sunday, Shah will address a public meeting in Andhra Pradesh, and people will be looking for any messages in his speech about the BJP's political plans for the state in terms of a new alliance. So far, the state's ruling YSR Congress has been broadly supportive of the central government on key issues.

On June 10, BJP President J P Nadda will also address a public meeting in Tirupati. He will also pray at Tirupati Balaji's temple. On Saturday, Shah will speak at meetings in Patan, Gujarat, and Nanded, Maharashtra. News agency PTI reported citing official sources, he will pay his respects at the Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib Gurudwara in Nanded. On Sunday, he will speak at a meeting in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, before travelling to Andhra Pradesh.
