'If You Have Any Shame, Resign': Amit Shah Attacks Rajasthan CM Gehlot Over 'Red Diary' Row

Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot over the ‘Red Diary’ issue and asked him to tender his resignation.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot over the ‘Red Diary’ issue and asked him to tender his resignation. Shah was addressing the 'Sahakar Kisaan Sammelan' organised by IFFCO at Gangapur City in Rajasthan’s Gangapur. During his address, he said that the "red diary" contains all the details of corruption worth crores of rupees.

"The "red diary" contains all the details of corruption worth crores of rupees. I want to tell Ashok Gehlot that nothing happens by sending a few people to shout slogans. If you have any shame, then resign," Shah said.

"Yesterday, a folder was sent to me. I said, Do not keep this folder; Ashok Gehlot will get angry because the colour of the folder (the diary) is red," Shah further said. During his interaction with farmers in the poll-bound state, the Union Minister said that the lives of crores of farmers are getting a new direction through various initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation.

Sacked Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Gudha Revealed Details Of "Red Diary"

Former Rajasthan Minister and Congress leader Rajendra Gudha released pages of a "red diary" levelling allegations of corruption against the Ashok Gehlot-led state government. While reading pages of the diary, he alleged corruption in the Rajasthan Cricket Association, as reported by the news agency ANI. Expressing his apprehension about going to jail, Gudha said that even if I go to jail, there will be new revelations in the diary. He further stated that the red diary contains all the proofs of corruption done by the Ashok Gehlot government.

Last month, Gudha said that Gehlot is very tensed about the contents written in the "red diary". While speaking to ANI, Gudha said that whatever is written in the book will be in front of the public. “The way they behaved with me in the Assembly, it shows their nervousness. I have never seen anyone so tensed before, in my whole life. Whatever is written in the book will be in front of the public,” he added, as quoted by ANI.

After Rajendra Gudha raised the Jodhpur issue and the alleged corrupt practices of the Rajasthan Congress he was sacked from his position by the Rajasthan government. Later, when he talked about the ‘Red Diary’ that allegedly contains all the corrupt practices and wrongdoings of the Rajasthan Congress, he was dragged out of the Rajasthan Assembly.

Notably, Ashok Gehlot sacked Rajendra Gudha as minister of state, hours after he criticised his own government over the crimes against women in the state.
