Shiv Sena has been slamming the Centre and the NIA soon after Sachin Vaze was arrested and has raised questions on the investigation in its mouthpiece Saamna.
Shiv Sena has written in the editorial that arresting Vaze is an insult to the Maharashtra Police. But the truth will be revealed soon.
The Shiv Sena wrote in Saamna, " The central government handed over the case to NIA. It happened very soon and it was not needed. NIA has insulted the Maharashtra Police team by arresting Vaze. All this is being done in a planned manner. Waje's arrest was shown in media and those who are celebrating its happiness are attacking the autonomy of the state." Shiv Sena said," The truth will come out soon. "
BJP enjoyed after Waje's arrest- Shiv Sena
Shiv Sena further wrote in Saamna that the central government did not trust the Mumbai Police and handed over the case to a national agency, why did the Centre interfere in Maharashtra's case. As soon as the case was handed over to NIA to investigate the Mukesh Ambani case and the death of Mansukh Hiren, the investigative agency carried out its duty and arrested Vaze. BJP has been enjoying all this.
Shiv Sena said, "If something goes wrong in Maharashtra, then central agencies immediately interfere in state's matter. . Now it seems it has become a policy of the Central Government. Ambani is a prominent figure in this country. There should be no lack in their security. That is why twenty gelatin sticks found in the premises of his house and the subsequent death of Mansukh Hiren, both these cases were being seriously investigated by Mumbai police but Centre determined that the Maharashtra officers and ATS were not enough so they handed the case to NIA without any discussion with the Maharashtra government. This is an insult to the Mumbai police."
According to sources, the arrested police inspector Sachin Vaze told the NIA during the investigation that he was a very small part of the plan and the Shiv Sena leaders named by him played a major role.
“I am a piece of iceberg in this case,” he told the investigators.
Sources have also confirmed that Vaze has revealed the involvement of other Mumbai Police officers in the case.
The case was handed over to the NIA after the mysterious death of a Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiran, who had claimed that the vehicle had been stolen a week earlier. His body was found in a creek at Thane on March 5.
Hiran's wife had claimed that her husband had given the SUV to Vaze in November, which the officer returned in the first week of February.
During his questioning by the ATS, Vaze had denied using the SUV that was in possession of Hiran.
Vaze has been booked under Section 120 (B) for criminal conspiracy, Section 286 for negligent conduct with respect to explosive substance, Section 465 for forgery, Section 473 for making or possessing counterfeit seal and Section 506(2) for criminal intimidation.
