AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan has filed for anticipatory bail in a new FIR, he has claimed that all the allegations against him are false.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan has filed for anticipatory bail in a new FIR before the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court. The court is expected to hear the plea today. He sought protection before joining the investigation and asserted that the allegations against him were baseless.

On Tuesday, the Okhla MLA alleged that he was being implicated in a false case. In a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, Khan said that he did not abscond and is in his constituency.

The Delhi Police South East District and Crime Branch team are conducting raids to arrest the Okhla MLA. The AAP MLA has been charged under sections related to gathering a crowd, trying to spoil the atmosphere, rioting, and organised crime. An FIR was registered against Khan for allegedly leading an attack on a police team in Delhi's Jamia Nagar.

The police slapped sections 111, 191(2) of the Indian Penal Code. On Monday, the crime branch team had gone to the Jamia area to arrest a man, Shabaz Khan, an accused in an attempt to murder case. This was when Amanatullah Khan along with his supporters allegedly attacked the police team and allowed the accused to escape.
