After Dayashankar spews venom on Mayawati, family faces trauma
New Delhi: Former Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Dayashankar Singh’s fate is landing in soup after making derogatory remarks about BSP supremo Mayawati. After being expelled for 6 years from the party, the family of the accused leader is now bearing the brunt.
Dayashankar’s family is reportedly facing a lot of trauma. Also, his 12-years-old daughter has taken ill, after exposure to so many protests and abuses. The BSP workers are demanding that he must be arrested.
In an outrageous remark, Dayashankar Singh compared Maywati to a “sex worker”, post which he was sacked by the party and had to face a lot of hatred and angst.
It stroked a row, when BJP’s senior leader Dayashankar told reporters, "Mayawati gives tickets for Rs one crore and if there is someone who can give Rs 2 crore than she sells it for Rs 2crore within an hour. If someone is ready to give Rs 3 crore by the evening, she gives the ticket to him”.
These remarks were condemned by all the political parties and led to protests by BSP workers. An F.I.R has already been lodged against him under sections 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups), 504 (intentional insult with intent to breach peace) and 509(word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
