'Adhir Ranjan Can't Speak Hindi, English. Oppn Will Weaken Further': BSP On No-Confidence Motion In Lok Sabha

BSP MP Malook Nagar said that Chowdhury can neither speak Hindi nor English and there are other leaders in the Congress who can do better than him.

The Bahujan Samaj Party on Wednesday reacted to the no-confidence motion brought by the Opposition alliance, led by the Congress, against the Centre in the Lok Sabha and said that the Opposition will be further weeken as leaders like Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury
will not be able to do anything. Taking a swipe at the Congress, BSP MP Malook Nagar said that Chowdhury can neither speak Hindi nor English and there are other leaders in the grand old party who can do better than him.

"Leaders like Adhir Ranjan will not be able to do anything, there are other leaders in Congress who can do better than him. He can neither speak Hindi nor English. He should only speak Bengali. Opposition will further weaken. If that happens, the country will weaken. BJP will act arbitrarily. Congress is the main Opposition party and they should think through and take steps," Nagar said, as quoted by ANI.

"There is a dearth of leadership in Congress. No Confidence Motion is brought when the PM and Govt before you is somewhat weak. You have the numbers before you. So, nothing is going to come out of it. Everyone will present their opinion. The PM will come later and answer each of their points, they will be knocked down and the Opposition will weaken. So, I think they should not have even thought of this...When discussion will be held, it will be done on all issues, Nagar said, he added.

Speaking on the No-Confidence Motion, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that whatever is happening in Manipur, the opposition is unitedly raising this issue. "The Prime Minister should make a statement on this (Manipur issue). Whatever is happening in Manipur, the opposition is unitedly raising this issue," as quoted by ANI.

Aam Aadmi Party Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that it is embarrassing that today the people do not have faith in the central government. He further said that now PM Modi has to come in Parliament and answer the Opposition. "It's an embarrassing moment for Central govt. Today people do not have faith in the central government...Now due to this motion, PM Modi has to come in Parliament and he has to answer the Opposition," Bhardwaj said, as quoted by ANI.

After the Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla accepted the no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram said, "Now, it (the no-confidence motion) has been tabled and has been accepted, the Speaker now has to fix a date for the debate and the voting on it," as quoted by ANI. Chidambaram said that PM Modi should respect parliament and this is not a presidential form of government. "PM must respect parliament, this is not a presidential form of government this is a parliamentary democracy," he said as quoted by ANI.
