‘Lies And Loans Cannot Go Together’: Raghav Chadha Urges IMF, Global Bodies To Stop Aid To Pakistan

AAP MP Raghav Chadha urged the international community to recognize Pakistan as a perpetrator, not a victim, of terrorism. He advocated for halting financial aid, citing Pakistan's terror links.

At the ‘Ideas for India Conference 2025’ held in London, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha delivered a forceful address urging the international community to stop treating Pakistan as a victim and instead recognise it as a perpetrator of terrorism. He called for an end to all forms of financial aid to the neighbouring country, citing its alleged deep-rooted links to terror.

In a sharp message to the global audience, Chadha stated, “Lies and loans cannot go together. Diplomacy and duplicity cannot go hand in hand. Terror and tolerance cannot coexist. Blood and water cannot flow together.”

Referring to India’s recent cross-border response to the attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 civilians were killed, Chadha underscored India’s firm stance against terrorism. According to ANI, he remarked, “Very recently there was a very unfortunate incident in Pahalgam, J&K. I think it becomes very important that we highlight that at a forum like this in the UK, which is that India’s strategic autonomy is also reflected in the fact that in the aftermath of the most cowardly attack in Pahalgam where 26 civilians were butchered, India did not go around town seeking consent to retaliate.”

He further asserted, “India told its worthy partners in the world that we are all for peace but don’t mistake our peacefulness for our weakness. While we extend the hand of friendship, if you indulge in misadventures, that hand of friendship can very quickly become the fist of retribution and as a result, India responded.”

Operation Sindoor Shining Example Of Strategic Precision And Moral Clarity: Raghav Chadha

Chadha said India’s counter-strike was “non-escalatory, precise, measured, calculated, swift,” and specifically targeted “terror infrastructure across the border, not civilians or military bases.” He claimed this approach reflected a new doctrine in India’s counter-terror strategy.

“This underscores the fact that today, cross-border strikes and demolishing terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan is not the exception—it will be the expectation. If Pakistan indulges in sponsoring, aiding, abetting terrorism within India… We should have a re-look at the way we fund Pakistan. Why is the IMF giving bailouts to Pakistan one after another? Where is the money going?” Chadha asked.

“I personally feel that the money is going to funding nefarious activities and designs of the regime. So, I think it’s high time that the world realises that lies and loans cannot go together, diplomacy and duplicity of Pakistan cannot go together, blood and water cannot flow together, and terror and tolerance cannot be together,” he concluded.

Chadha also praised India’s Operation Sindoor, calling it a “shining example of strategic precision and moral clarity” in the fight against cross-border terrorism.
