Forensic teams have been deployed to the scene to gather evidence and the bodies have been transferred to Kottayam Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examinations.

In December 2024, a dramatic incident unfolded in Kerala’s Kannur district, where a man narrowly escaped being run over by a speeding train. A viral video captured the heart-stopping moment as he lay flat on the tracks while the Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram train passed over him near Kannur. Displaying remarkable composure, he remained motionless until the train had completely crossed, then calmly stood up and walked away unscathed.
