17 overnight deaths reported from Indore hospital; families claim all died of same reason

Indore: An usual event has put Indore’s Maharaja Yashwant Hospital behind controversies, after seventeen patients being treated at the famous Government hospital died at the same time. Wherein hospital claims that the patients died a natural death, enraged families of the deceased are claiming that the deaths happened due to ‘no Oxygen supply’. One of these families was 23-year-old Prakash’s who got his ailing father to the hospital for treatment, but returned back only with his mortals. As per allegations levied by Prakash, the Oxygen supply of the hospital stopped suddenly on the night of June 22 because of which his father died. Refuting these allegations, the hospital authorities have said, “ we have around 40 ventilators, and if the oxygen supply was the reason, then all the patients would have died, but this didn’t happen as rest of the patients are still surviving”. When media sought a list of deceased from the hospital, the authorities clearly denied proving the same. Following the shocking incident, Congress party has sought an investigation from the government on the incident and also demanded a compensation for the families of the deceased. The hospital has come under light a lot of times in the past for various incidents of callousness. No probe has been ordered by the Government so far.
