Google Introduces ‘People Cards’ That Helps You Build Your Public Profile For Search Engine; Here's How To Make One

Search giant Google has come up with its digital visiting cards in the feature title 'People Cards'.

New Delhi: Search giant Google on Tuesday has launched a new service that works as a virtual visiting card for users. ALSO READ | Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Ultra And Redmi K30 Ultra To Launch Today; Know About Everything About It The feature titled "people cards" will enable users to create their public profile on Google - the card will help them highlight their profile, location, a brief description of themselves, occupation, education, hometown, websites and social media accounts. The Knowledge graph on the website stores and provided details filled in by the profile creators. The aim is to provide reliable information about people publically in an easy way as these digital visiting cards will be visible at the top of search results - to make their identity easily searchable for others.

All you need is your mobile number and Google account to make the virtual card. One user can make only one card and the search engine will deploy human review with automated response to filter out impersonation or any such acts of the policy violation. Users can also opt-out at any time. Meanwhile, the feature is available in English for mobile users but it will be expanded further in the coming days. How To Create Your Google People Card
  1. Sign in to your Google account.
  2. Search "add me to search".
  3. Click on the "Add yourself to Google Search" option that appears on the screen.
  4. Fill in the details required.
  5. Save and you are good to go.
