DMDK Party Chief Vijayakanth Heads To Dubai To Undergo Medical Examination

The ailing DMDK Chief Vijayakanth has left for Dubai today morning (August 30, 2021) as he would undergo a medical examination there and then leave for the US for treatment.

Vijayakanth and his wife Premalatha were spotted at Chennai airport today morning.

Chennai: Actor and politician Vijayakanth, who has been out of the news for quite some time, is hitting the headlines of Tamil dailies following his health complications.

Last time, he was admitted to a Chennai hospital following breathlessness in the early hours of the morning on May 19, 2021. Since then, he was making no public appearances.

But today early morning, he was spotted at Chennai international airport along with his wife Premalatha, and videos & pictures of him from the airport are going viral on the internet.

The veteran actor has flown to Dubai where will undergo medical treatments. A famous doctor from London is said to be treating the DMDK party leader giving him walking and speech training.

Vijayakanth will first undergo a medical examination and then it will be decided whether he will get medical treatment in Dubai or he will be sent to London for training. He is also likely to be going to the US and stay there for a couple of weeks and return home after having medical treatment.
Captain Vijayakanth, the chairman and general secretary of DMDK, first fell unwell in 2014 during the parliamentary general election. Then went to Singapore IN 2017 and took temporary medical treatment. And now, the Chinna Gounder actor popular actor has jetted to Dubai.

Vijaykanth's youngest son Shanmuga Pandian and his assistants Kumar and Somu have accompanied him to Dubai after getting the COVID-19 check-ups done.
