West Bengal Elections 2021: Cricketer Manoj Tiwary To Join Trinamool Congress

Manoj Tiwary Join TMC's rally on February 24th 2021

West Bengal: Manoj Tiwari to join Trinamool Congress and he is likely to be a part of party chief Mamata Banerjee's rally, in Hooghly district's Chinsurah, on Wednesday, February 24th. 35-year-old Tiwary who is known as 'Chota Dada' has represented the Indian cricket team in the one-day international (ODI) and T20 formats.

Manoj Tiwary has played for the Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab, and Rising Pune Supergiants in the Indian Premier League. He has been the captain of the West Bengal cricket team and has also played for India in 12 ODI’s and three T20I’s

He recently took to Twitter and made a sarcastic remark on the fuel prices in India. Tiwary wrote: “Wat an innings by Petrol so far. A well-compiled century on dis difficult situation. U looked 4 a big one d moment u played ur first ball. Equally supported by Diesel. Great partnership by u 2. Wasn't easy playing against d common people but u both did it. #PetrolDieselPriceHike”

The ruling Trinamool Congress has locked horns Bharatiya Janata Party and Manoj Tiwary joining the Trinamool Congress is the latest celebrity addition as certain members resigned from TMC ahead of the Bengal polls scheduled for April-May.
