Coronavirus Cases India 28 April: The Union Health Ministry on Wednesday morning reported that the country lodged as many as 3,60,960 new cases of Covid-19 in last 24 hours, pushing the tally to 1,79,97,267. As per the latest figures, 3293 people lost lives across country due to the deadly Coronavirus.
The brutal second wave of the coronavirus continues to cripple the country for seventh straight day as India once again recorded over 3 lakh fresh cases of Coronavirus in Single. The Union Health Ministry on Wednesday morning reported that the country lodged as many as 3,60,960 new cases of Covid-19 in last 24 hours, pushing the tally to 1,79,97,267.
As per the latest figures, 3293 people lost lives across country due to the deadly Coronavirus. With this, India has crossed 2-lakh mark in term of Covid-19 deaths. The Death toll as of now stands at 2,01,187.

With 2,61,162 discharges in the last 24, the total number of recoveries are 1,48,17,371 while there are at least 29,78,709 active cases of Covid-19 in the country.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) reported that 28,27,03,789 samples were tested up to 27th April 2021, for COVID-19. Of these 17,23,912 samples were tested in past 24 hours.
Amid the grim situation, vaccination against Covid-19 has appeared to be one of the best way to minimise the risk of contracting the virus. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported that the country administered more than 24 lakh vaccine doses till 8 pm on Tuesday.

With these, the cumulative number of COVID19 vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 14,77,27,054 as per the 8 pm provisional report.
As India put up a brave fight against the deadly Coronavirus in its second wave, the government is all set to roll out the extended vaccination drive across the country from May 1, for which the registration on the Co-Win app will start on Wednesday (April 28). As per the Union Health Ministry, the registration can be done at cowin.gov.in.
