Covid-19 Vaccine Registration: Above 18 Yrs? CoWIN App Now Open For Bookings | Check Step-By-Step Guide

Third Phase Vaccination Drive: As India put up a brave fight against the deadly Coronavirus in its second wave, the government is all set to roll out the extended vaccination drive across the country from May 1, for which the registration on the Co-Win app started on Wednesday (April 28) from 4 pm. 

It is to be noted that there will be no walk-in for beneficiaries in the third phase. The government has also made pre-registration on COWIN App mandatory for an appointment for the 18-44 age group.

As per the Union Health Ministry, the registration can be done at www.cowin.gov.in.

All those citizens above the age of 18 years can register themselves for getting Covid-19 vaccine jabs, starting at 4 pm on Wednesday.

In the third phase of this drive, the vaccine manufacturers would supply 50 per cent of their monthly Central Drugs Laboratory (CDL) released doses to the central government. The manufacturers would be free to supply the remaining 50 per cent doses to state governments and in the open market.

Here's Step-by-Step Process For 18+ Age Group To Register For Covid Vaccination:

Step 1: Firstly visit www.cowin.gov.in and enter your mobile number

Step 2: An OTP will be sent to your registered number

Step 3: Enter OTP and click on verify button

Step 4: Once verified, the vaccination registration page will open up

Step 5: Submit details required along with valid photo ID proof

Step 6: Fill in details of comorbidities, if any

Step 7: Click on the register button at the bottom right

Documents Handy For Registration

* Aadhaar Card

* PAN Card

* Voter ID

* Driving license

* Health Insurance smart card issued under by Ministry of Labour

* Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) Job Card

* Official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs

* Passport

* Passbooks issued by bank/post office

* Pension document

* Service identity card issued to employees by central/ state government / Public limited companies

Procedure for registration through Aarogya Setu app

Step 1: Head to the Aarogya Setu app > Click on CoWIN tab on the home screen

Step 2: Select Vaccination Registration > Enter Phone Number > Enter OTP

Step 3: Click on Verify > You will be directed to the Registration of Vaccination page

Step 4: Follow the same steps as mentioned in the ‘Process for registration through CoWIN portal' guide.

Each citizen has to take two shots of the vaccine. The CoWIN portal says that the second dose of Covaxin should be taken between 28 days to 42 days after the first dose. The second dose of Covishield should be taken between 28 days to 56 days after the first dose.
