Budget 2021: PM Narendra Modi To Chair All-Party Meeting Virtually On Jan 30 To Decide Budget Agenda

This year's Budget session will be held in two part, first from January 29 to February 15 and the second from March 8 to April 8. Parliament will sit in two shifts with Rajya Sabha in the morning and Lok Sabha in evening.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to chair  an all-party meeting on January 30 wherein the government will put forth its legislative agenda for the Budget session of Parliament 2021. ALSO READ | Budget 2021 Expectations: From Health To Education, Here’s What Govt Should Prioritise In This Budget 

As reported by PTI, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the meeting will be held virtually and the invitation for the all-party meet has been sent out to the house leaders of all parties.

"The all-party meeting will be held on January 30, where the government will put forth its legislative business for the Parliament session and would also listen to the opposition's suggestions," Joshi told PTI. 

As per the report, the all party meeting which is a customary procedure before the beginning of every session of Parliament, will be held a day after the session starts on January 29. 

This year's Budget session will be held in two part, first from January 29 to February 15 and the second from March 8 to April 8. Parliament will sit in two shifts with Rajya Sabha in the morning from 9am to 2pm and Lok Sabha in the second half in evening from 4pm to 8pm.

Earlier this week, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting of top government officials for holding the Budget session amid the pandemic. He said that all COVID-19 related protocols will be in place and RT-PCR tests will be conducted for all Members of Parliament in the Parliament House Complex (PHC) between January 27 and January 28, 2021.
