Last Rites Of KK To Be Held In Mumbai

The last rites of playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath will be held in Mumbai at the Muktidham crematorium in Versova. "His family said the last rites will be held in Mumbai at Versova cremation ground tomorrow morning, the source told PTI. KK was performing at Nazrul Manch in South Kolkata, he felt sick after returning to his hotel. The singer was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Many questions have been raised about the mismanagement of the event organisers. As per the reports, the venue was overcrowded, AC was not working.

KK came to Kolkata on Monday and on the same day, he performed at the same Nazrul Manch for another city college.

Former Congress Leader Hardik Patel To Join BJP 

Former Patidar quota agitation leader Hardik Patel will join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) party on Thursday in presence of Gujarat party president C.R.Patil and former Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel at 12 p.m, as reported by news agency IANS.

Hardik resigned from Congress as working president as well as a primary member of the party on May 18. Since then, Patel has attacked the Congress on various forums, calling the party "anti-Patidar and anti- Gujarat".

Hardik Patel was shot to the limelight in 2015 after he led an agitation seeking reservation for the Patidar community in Gujarat. He was made the Gujarat Congress working president in July 2020.
