New Delhi: In a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Covid-19 situation in the country, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday was critisized for his "mannerless" posture by the BJP leaders.
The BJP has tweeted a part of the meeting held on a video call and accused Arvind Kejriwal of rudeness. In fact, during PM Modi's address, Kejriwal appeared in a relaxed posture with his hands behind the chair.

This is not the first incident in which Kejriwal faced a barrage of criticism for his behaviour during the meeting. Earlier, in April 2021, a similar incident took place when Delhi CM was seen feeling bored and lousy during the virtual meeting with Chief Ministers of all states and Union Territories to discuss the coronavirus situation in the country.

In the meeting that was called to review the Covid-19 situation in the country, PM Modi also raised the issue of many states not adhering to the Centre’s call to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel after it slashed the excise duty in November last year. He added that it is an "injustice" to people living there and also harmful to neighbouring states.
“In order to reduce the burden of rising petrol and diesel prices, the central government reduced the excise duty last November. We had urged the states too to reduce their taxes. Some states reduced the tax and provided benefits to the consumers but some didn't do so,” he was quoted as saying by the news agency ANI.
