With the pollution menace already at hand, residents in the national capital and other parts of north India experienced strong tremors after two earthquakes jolted Nepal killing at least 157 people. Meanwhile, in the world of national politics, TMC MP Mahua Moitra's Ethics Committee hearing in the cash-for-query case dominated the news circle with the leader alleging that she was asked 'filthy questions' as Oppositions MP also staged a walkout over the line of questioning.

Third Tremor Hits Delhi-NCR In A Month. What's Behind The Frequent Earthquakes In The Region?

The national capital and the adjoining areas along with other parts of north India once again experienced tremors jolting people out of their homes in panic. This is the third incident in the last one month when tremors hit Delhi-NCR. On October 15, an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 on the Richter scale hit the national capital with an epicentre located 9 kilometres east of Faridabad. 

'Was Asked Filthy Questions': Mahua Moitra, Oppn Leaders Storm Out Of Parliament Ethics Panel Hearing

Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra, along with other Opposition leaders stormed out of the Parliament Ethics Committee meeting on Thursday accusing the panel of asking her a bunch of “filthy questions”. In a video posted by news agency ANI, Moitra, along with BSP MP Danish Ali, looked visibly angry as they walked out of the ethics panel hearing. The TMC leader was asked to depose before the committee in connection with the cash-for-query row.

A Supreme Court justice has expressed dissatisfaction with attorneys frequently addressing him as "My Lord" and "Your Lordships" during legal proceedings, news agency PTI reported. During the hearing of a routine issue on Wednesday, Justice P S Narasimha, who was sitting on the bench alongside senior presiding judge Justice A S Bopanna, instructed a senior advocate: “How many times you will say 'My Lords'? If you stop saying this, then I will give you half of my salary."

Australian Woman Arrested After Three Die From Lethal Mushrooms

An Australian woman was arrested over the deaths of three people and leaving another one fighting for life in August after they consumed food which contained poisonous mushrooms at a lunch gathering hosted by her. Erin Patterson, aged 49, was arrested at her residence in Leongatha, located in the Gippsland region, around 8 a.m. on Thursday and subsequently transported to a nearby police station. As of now, no charges have been filed against her.
