End of road: Veenu Paliwal, India’s first lady biker, dies in road accident in MP
Vidisha (MP): One of the top woman bikers in the country, Veenu Paliwal (44), died in a road accident after her bike skid off a road on Monday evening
A resident of Jaipur, she was on a nationwide tour on her Harley Davidson motorcycle. Veenu was accompanied by fellow biker Dipesh Tanwar, who was on another bike.
The fatal accident happened in Gyaraspur, 100 km from state capital Bhopal.
Paliwal was rushed to a primary health centre and then to the Vidisha district hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead, police said.
Paliwal was also planning to make a documentary on her motorbike journey across the country.
Known for driving Harley Davidson bikes at 180 kmph, Paliwal was planning to make a documentary on her motorbike journey across India.
She learned to ride during her college days.
She married a man who wouldn’t let her ride and after divorce, last year, she again started riding.
She is survived by two children.
A post-mortem will be conducted today.
