New Delhi: As per Panchang, October 15, 2021, Friday is the tenth day of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. This date is known as Vijay Dashami and Dusshera.
The festival of Dusshera has special significance in the Hindu religion. It is believed that on this day, Lord Ram killed Ravan and liberated the earth from his tyranny. This festival is also a celebration of the victory of good over evil. On Vijay Dashami, weapons are also worshipped.
Ravan Dahan Shubh Muhurat 2021
Ravan Dahan will be performed on Dashami on October 15. As per the tradition, the effigies of Kumbhakarna and Meghnad are also burnt, along with the effigy of Ravana.
On this day, Abhijit Muhurat is from 11:36 pm to 12:24 pm. The auspicious time for Ravan Dahan is from 19.26 pm to 21.22 pm.
According to Panchang, on this day the moon will transit in Capricorn. It is Shravan nakshatra on Friday.
The special thing about this day is that a combination of three planets is being formed in Capricorn. On this day Jupiter, Saturn, and Moon will stay together in Capricorn.

According to Panchang, the time of Vijay Muhurat is from 02.02 pm to 02.48 pm on October 15. According to the scriptures, the date of Dashami is also considered good for doing auspicious work. Dashami Tithi will start on October 14, 2021, at 06:52 pm and will end on October 15, 2021, at 06:02 pm. Durga Visarjan will also be performed on this day.
