Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar expressed deep concern after meeting Jayaprakash, the father of Siddharth, who tragically died by suicide at Govt Veterinary College in Wayanad on Monday. Chandrasekhar lamented the delay in the CBI investigation promised by the Chief Minister of Kerala and highlighted the family's continued pursuit of justice. On February 18, Siddharth was found dead in his dormitory at the College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, located in Pookode, Wayanad.

After meeting Jayaprakash, father of Siddharth, who allegedly died by suicide in Govt Veterinary College, Pookode, Wayanad, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said, "It is incredibly sad and incredibly tragic that a father who has lost his son, a son who should be looking to his life with full of promise, is having to chase to find justice. The Chief Minister of the state of Kerala, who is also the Home Minister, has promised the family that the matter will be investigated independently by CBI."

"He made this promise almost a week ago. Even today, the matter has not been referred to CBI. It has not been notified and has not been sent to CBI...At the same time, all of those students, all those goons who are involved in the killing are being reinstated and sent back to college by the Vice-Chancellor...Our demand or request on behalf of the family is very simple, this is a brutal killing and this is a criminal act that should be investigated," he said.
