In the last week, three COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in Karnataka.
On Thursday, after chairing a meeting with Ministers, officials, and experts, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah urged people not to panic but to be careful and take preventive steps such as wearing face masks. "The cabinet sub-committee will meet frequently, and will also meet the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC consisting of experts). There must be proper coordination between the cabinet sub-committee and the TAC," Siddaramaiah had stated.
The Chief Minister stated that COVID instances are on the rise, and that three persons who tested positive for COVID died lately in Karnataka.

The TAC's feedback was taken into consideration at the meeting on Thursday, he added. The Chief Minister directed officials to guarantee that "mistakes of the past" such as a lack of oxygen, beds, ventilators, and medications are not repeated. Patients with comorbidities should get medical care in addition to COVID therapy.
Siddaramaiah urged people not to panic or worry, but to stay careful and take preventive precautions, noting that the new 'JN.1' sub variation is a sub variant of the already widespread Omicron form.
He stated that there are already 92 COVID positive cases in the state, with 80 of them being from the Bengaluru Urban area.
