Ahead Of Modi's Karnataka Visit, Bengaluru Cong Candidate MV Rajeev Gowda Questions PM Over Fund Allocation

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Karnataka to campaign for NDA candidates ahead Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

Ahead of Prime Minister Modi's visit to Karnataka, Bengaluru Congress candidate MV Rajeev Gowda raised critical questions regarding the allocation of funds to the state. Gowda highlighted several areas where funds promised by the central government have not been delivered, including projects like the upper Bhadra project, allocations mandated by the 15th Finance Commission and funding for the peripheral ring road.

On Friday, MV Rajeev Gowda, Congress Candidate from Bengaluru said, "We want to welcome Prime Minister Modi to Karnataka with a few key questions. Number one, why have you not given us the adequate funds? There are three, or four areas. You have not released the funds that are due to the upper Bhadra project that was announced in the budget."

"You have not given us the funds mandated by the 15th Finance Commission. You have not given us the funds for the peripheral ring road when our people are suffering from drought, not released national disaster relief funds...This is the way you are doing injustice to Karnataka," he said.
