Karnataka Polls: BJP Banks On Developmental Works, Congress Bets On Anti-Incumbency To Return To Power

Priyank Kharge, Chittapur MLA said, "This time it is going to be Congress all the way. Kharge ji and Rahul ji want 150 seats delivered from Karnataka."

After the Election Commission announced the dates for Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023, Congress and BJP expressed their confidence in winning the Assembly elections 2023. While Congress rests on anti-incumbency, BJP banks on the developmental works done by them.

On Karnataka elections, Priyank Kharge, Chittapur MLA talking to ANI said, “We are winning this election. The people of Karnataka are fed up with the 40% government, BJP playing the caste politics, and unemployment is at its highest. This time it is going to be Congress all the way. Kharge ji and Rahul ji want 150 seats delivered from Karnataka.”

BK Hariprasad, Congress leader & LoP Karnataka Legislative Council said, “We're ahead of BJP in the state as we started our election campaign exercise 3 years ago after DK Shivakumar took over as the party's state president. The exercise to select election candidates has been underway for the past 6 months. The party's screening committee will finalise everything soon.”

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said that the party will win the polls and the party high command will decide on the CM face based on the opinion of the victorious candidate. He said Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka will campaign to add strength to the vote base.
