Karnataka Govt Already In Process Of Conducting Probe: Deputy CM Shivakumar On BR Patil's Letter

Karnataka Deputy CM Shivakumar said that there was nothing involved in it.

After Aland MLA BR Patil requested CM Siddaramaiah to conduct a probe into the allegation made by Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar on Wednesday stated that Patil had indeed called for an investigation, and the state government was already in the process of conducting one. This development, however, has underscored the internal differences among the ruling Congress leaders in Karnataka.

"There is nothing involved in it. He (BR Patil) is asking for an enquiry, the state government is already in the process of conducting an enquiry," says #Karnataka Deputy CM @DKShivakumar on Aland Congress MLA BR Patil writing a letter to CM Siddaramaiah asking him to order a probe into the charges made by the Revenue minister Krishna Byre Gowda against him.

Earlier, Patil in a letter said that the works undertaken in his constituency by Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited were of substandard quality. He said that he even raised the matter in the last Assembly session.

In the RDPR Minister Priyank Kharge's absence, Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda addressed his query. A heated exchange ensued with Gowda questioning the allocation of projects to Rural Infrastructure Development Limited, said Patil.

The minister made allegations and cast aspersions on him, the MLA said, as reported by New Indian Express.

As a result, Patil urged CM to order a probe to clear the allegations against him.
