'Congress Looted Money Allocated For...': PM Modi After Inaugurating Development Projects In Mandya

After inaugurating the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway and laying the foundation stone for Mysuru-Kushalnagar four-lane highway, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday said that before 2014, Congress at the Centre looted money allocated for poor and they have left no stone unturned to ruin the lives of poor in the country.
"Before 2014, the Congress govt at the Centre left no stone unturned to ruin poor people. Congress govt looted the money which was for poor people," PM Modi said as quoted by news agency ANI.
He further said that on the flip side, in the last nine years houses were built for over 3 crore people under which lakhs of houses were given away to the poor in Karnataka. "Under Jal Jeevan Mission, tap water has also been provided to 40 lakh families in Karnataka," he said.
"In 2022, India got a record investment. Karnataka benefitted the most. Despite covid, there was an investment worth Rs 4 lakh crores in Karnataka," he added.

While the Prime Minister heaped praises over the development of the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, Congress alleged that the government is going ahead with the inauguration while "endangering" the lives of the people of Karnataka.
AICC General Secretary in-charge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala took to Twitter to share a party statement writing, "Inauguration of Incomplete Bangalore- Mysore National Highway. Publicity + Polls = Sacrificing Lives & Endangering Public Safety! Modi Government is Profiteering to the tune of ₹ 25,000 Crore in Toll Collection!".
Meanwhile, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari while addressing a gathering in Mandya said that assured that Bengaluru will soon have a ring road, which will be constructed at a cost of Rs 17,000 crore. He also said this will play a pivotal role in developing connectivity.
