Karnataka Minister Eshwarappa 'Disturbed' By Bajrang Dal Activist's Murder, Says 'Musalmaan Goondas' Killed Him

New Delhi: After a 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist was allegedly killed on Sunday evening in Shivamogga, Karnataka Rural Development Minister KS Eshwarappa said that he is very disturbed by the murder of the activist.
He further alleged that "Musalmaan goondas" (Muslim goondas) have killed the activist. "I am going to Shivamogga now to analyse the situation. We will not allow goondaism," he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

After the alleged murder, security has been heightened in the district headquarters. "The overall situation is peaceful. Local police, RAF are deployed to maintain law and order. Section 144 has been declared in the area. Further probe into the incident is underway," Dr Selvamani R, Shivamogga Deputy Commissioner told news agency ANI.

Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said that Law and Order situation is under control in Shivamogga but as a precautionary measure, schools and colleges in the city limits have been closed for two days. "A group of 4-5 youth murdered him. I don't know of any organization being behind this murder," he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Meanwhile, miscreants set ablaze to several vehicles in various parts of the city, according to ANI. Firefighting personnel rushed to the spot.
